Seiko A159 4019 with LCD leak

Post28 Dec 2012, 17:50

I have my father's Seiko A159 4019 with a leak in the LCD module. It is of great sentimental value so I wanted to restore it.

I was told there were no parts available for this watch as it is nearly 40 years old. Are there similar watches that I could use the LCD module from to replace the bad one?

Which more common modules should I look for?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Is it the Gold or Stainless steel version of this watch? The reason I ask is because Jules Borel does have replacement LCD panel for this model.

The LCD is the same for both models, its the colour of the reflecting mirror that changes

They are real easy to fix, ask this ebay seller if he has any schillachi61 part number 4510-880
