NO!!!!! I cannot believe this! Seiko 0662 Module

Post15 Feb 2013, 04:47

Oh My! I just cannot believe this!

I just tested my Seiko 0662A circuit "BRAN NEW" never used, sealed, from Jules Borel and thought it would be fine, but I tested it with an old leaking "TEST" LCD I had from a while ago, and this is what I got!

One of the segments is missing from the seconds section!I cannot believe this! And if anyone is wondering...Yes, I tested this circuit board with a bran new LCD panel as well and got the same thing! I am wondering if Jules will replace the old one, or if they will refund my money.

Anyway, if any of you know of a fix for this type of issue, please let me know.

Have you tried getting better contact by lifting(very gently) the last bottom right prong. Check the tech guide to make sure it the right one but you should be able to see the traces in the lcd panel. If that makes no difference you might be doomed.

Patrick,
It looks like a missing contact to me as well.

If it stays the same after adjusting the little contact strip, it means there is a faulty output channel in the PBC/chip, let's hope this is not the case.
I'm very curious what the outcome will be.
Did you purchase it recently ?

How are you testing this? Are you using another module from a previous watch?

What's the contact details for jules - I've been looking for a source of LCD panels for seiko, hamilton, etc...

Thanks

All fixed!

Adam's suggestion worked as terminal "1c" was pushed down a little. Once I carefully pushed it back up and "even" with all the other terminals, it showed up on the new LCD panel.

So thank you Adam, and the rest of you people. I am glad it works as the module is getting very rare.

Thats great thank you Patrick. If you could let me know the case number and bracelet number that would make the information complete.
