Pulsar Dress LED cycling

Post14 May 2015, 13:50

Hi, me again - same watch, new problem.

The Pulsar Dress watch in this post viewtopic.php?f=64&t=7794 I tried the vinegar/alcohol method on and it works (kind of).

Problem now is the left hand digit just cycles (either time or date setting mode, I'm not sure which). and the display stays on.

Pressing the lower button changes the dot and holding it down cycles the dot instead of the numbers.

Here's a video showing what it's doing

I've ordered a replacement 32.768 quartz oscillator but wonder if the issue might be with something else, now it's working-ish...

Any ideas? Thanks!

Looks like it's in setting mode. Is it magnet set ?
If so, the reed switch for setting the hour is probably shorted.....maybe some moisture crept into the glass tube when you bathed it !

Rgds.
