My Seiko LCDs

Post08 Jul 2006, 12:02

The picture quality has suffered a bit in the resizing, they are in much much better condition than they look in this photo!
Ive since added another 'World Time' :)

Nice collection JasonM, and nice pic, but hope you don't store them like that :D I recently picked up an early Seiko LCD, and love the look, and the reliability. Seiko's (and my other LCD's) seem far less tempermental than a lot of my LED's.

Thanks, no there in a nice display box
The early ones are very well made, this was before they became the cheap 'disposable' items from the 80's
Cheers!

Hi , regarding the reliability of the seikos, i had an absolute mint ,never worn, still has the factory seal around the clasp LC model c/w hangtags/ original box etc, its the type with the two buttons on the front. It mysteriously died for no apparent reason :x I kept a lookout for another module on ebay and was surprised how many of this model suffered from exactly the same fault. Does anybody know why they became less reliable as time went on, i thought it would have been the opposite
