What are you wearing on the first Friday of 2008??

Post04 Jan 2008, 22:17

Happy New Year everyone!
It's been a while since I posted a pic on the "This Watch I'm Wearing Gallery". It's been hard finding the time.

I'm starting of 2008 with my T.I. model 401. :-)
(I think I need to spend a little more time polishing.)

wow nice condition seiko Fitron..

i have exactly the same watch on its way to me, but the bezel on mine is a little faded on the red quarter. looking to buy a few more too. they are by far the best looking diver watch i have ever seen. very james bond imo.

nice choice mate. ;)

Supposedly 70m waterproof but I'm not even going to wear it in the bath, it's too old (33 years). I'm finding myself looking more and more at Seiko's from the 70's as they did make some stunning watches. Even more worrying is that I've got most of the Leds I want so I'm mildly paniced that I've discovered another style of watch to hunt down.

But my fav's will always be the lil' red glowing dudes.

"what time is it? Go back to bed it's far too early" is the first sentence of the day for me most days so I need my leds to stop them winning the battle of Mum and Dad's bed.

Sweet Seiko there Fitron. Coincidentally, I took my (only) Seiko automatic out of the drawer and have been worning it off and on the past week. I'll have to take a pic sometime but it's not a 70's classic like yours, it's a modern 7S26-0020 Scuba Diver. But digitals will always be my # 1 love!

Ah mine's not a diver! That's not a bezel it's a tachymeter so I can time my kids on their bikes! You will find a seiko of any age gets great recommendations by those who know something about watches. My dive watch is a beaten up, well used/travelled POS but I'll never part with it. Too many memories.

Yes, see it now Fitron. That's what I get for not looking closely.

I think my Seiko digi-ani has a more simple tachymeter on it. No?

If it is, I have no idea how to use it. I just like the looks of it. ;-)
