Fantastic collection, some really beautiful watches. ;-)

Is the Concord the solid gold model?

I recognize most of the different models but there are a couple which I have not seen before - would you be able to add titles to the photographs?

Are all the watches pictured offered for trade?

"Is the Concord the solid gold model?"

lol ohh now that would be nice.lol
"18k gold electroplated"
poor mans gold .lol

"Are all the watches pictured offered for trade"

none apart from the trades listed in
"dwf market place"

"Fantastic collection, some really beautiful watches"

to be frank " bucko" the collection is ok , mainly low to medium cost items.
the real big boy collector items like;

http://www.ledwatches.net/photo-pages/nepro.htm
http://www.ledwatches.net/photo-pages/uranus2.htm
http://www.ledwatches.net/photo-pages/sicura.htm

theses are sadly out of my price range evan if they ever came up for sale.which isnt likely.lol

Very nice collection Geoff... :-D, I see two old friends in there.

I noticed you've got one of the Sears Phasar 2000 watches a very under rated watch in IMO superb quality plus it has the flashing colon when showing the time which is just so... 8-)

Some very cool watches there funkyguyfromlondon.
What is the story behind the ss watch on the first page, top right corner? (and on the left corner, second row)
Are those solar cells hidden under there somewhere?
That's a most unusual crystal design.....

Can't argue that. I have a few of the angular ones and they are made of quality materials; glass crystal, solid SS case and Hughes module. :-)

Geoff,

There's a platers a couple of miles from me that does chrome plating I got him to do a couple of bits of a motorcycle I had and he made one hell of a mess of it I wouldn't trust him with a watch case, its all to do with the preperation of stripping all the plating back to the bare case and re-finishing (to a mirror surface if you want shiny that is) or blasting for a stain finish all this costs money. Plating is not cheap and high quality plating is very expensive as it labour intensive.

Sorry I've not been buying watches for a while nothing new to report...:-|

Excellent, with the titles 8-)

I love the different and unusual case shapes of the watches in your collection. I think that I have quite a similar taste in watches to yourself (hence the reason we have never been able to make a trade deal, with me wanting to keep any watch that you might be interested in for myself.)

I do have a special watch in the pipe-line even if it is a bit on the feminine side

I posted photo's from my collection here http://www.dwf.nu/viewtopic.php?t=2839 but a lot has changed since I last updated the post I counted 9 on the watches listed that I no longer have and plenty more that I do have, I will have to update again soon.

If I had to pick one out of my collection that I think you would like it would have to be this one -

http://www.ledwatches.net/photo-pages/n ... tronic.htm

Better pictures can be found here in 'Watches for sale' section fifth item from bottom of page 1.
