LANCO L.E.D - sort after model

Post10 Mar 2010, 14:28

back in 2007/8 when i first started colllecting L.E.D watches.
this was a case design i was seeking ,original post:

http://www.dwf.nu/viewtopic.php?t=2720&highlight=buren

in that case it was a BUREN version.
resently through one of my watch dealers ive finally managed to aquire this lanco version.after 2 looooong years.lol
angled glass crystal.standard NSC module.

so be patient watch collectors..it can take years to find that special piece.

(however looking at peter wenzigs collection resently,
some models i fear i will never aquire !!!!! )

Q = WHATS THE LONGEST TIME THAT SPECIAL WATCH TOOK YOU TO AQUIRE?

I've been looking for that one and a few others for 6 or 7 months now.
I'd be happy with a SS version if they exist.

I have the stainless steel version, boxed with tags.Possibly the rarest and best futuristic design on any led watch.
Peter wenzig must also think so,he has the same watch up at 420 euro. After ten years of collecting i have only see it a couple of times, beautful watch.
pics to follow. :-D

I've been waiting years to get an HP-01 :-D
Not that you can't get them..................it's just that you can't get them at a reasonable price !
One day I might just have to bite the bullet.................

A stunning looking watch, never saw this model before very much impressed. It just looks pure class. personally I would never go for that one because I dont like gold coloured watches, only white gold lol or s/s. Just a personal taste, which may change when I get to be older.

I only collect something that I can wear, so if there is a S/S version I'll certainly add this to my wanted list. Just hope that I don't hate my s/s collection when i am older and wish i had a gold watch.

If anyone has pics of a s/s one I'd love to see one as I cant find any pics at moment.

Just found a website with a great image gallery to loads of watches. I have found something great to do whilst the girls in the house watch the royal wedding.
The Lanco is superb in s/s and the site has some great pics of it.
I will add the website address below, I'm not sure if its allowed if not then i apologise in advance.
But for newbie collectors like me it shows some great watches i never knew exsisted.
I also want a Heuer split chronograph now too

Hi Cheeksterr
Yes,its the stainless version of the lanco i have, i think its the most futuristic design of them all.
Peter wenzig @ magic digitals has just sold his one. It had a reserve on it this morning.Looks like i may have spurred someone on today? I shall post some pics of mine in the next day or two. :-D
I would consider offers on my stainless version,if any ones interested let me know.

Funky Guy, congrats on that LANCO! That is the most stunning looking LED watch I've ever seen. Not only is the angled red crystal an unusual feature, it's great how the case follows the form. Also, the LED numerals are crisp and clear. Was this a European market watch only? I've never heard of the brand before.

What I have been looking for is a running...

- SEIKO 0624-5009

or

- SEIKO m159-5028 (Gold Tone)

I really want either one. I hope some day I will be able to get one.

In terms of design, build and styling the 0624 is miles ahead of the "m" model. The over engineered build and finish took a downward step after these first few models were replaced. This was seiko at its best, showing how to build a lcd watch properly, possibly engineered without budget constraints.
If you have a 0624 you'll know what i mean, from any angle its beautifully sculpted, and the quality is among the best lcds ever.Try comparing a module from a 0624 with ,say a pulsar module. The seiko module is almost a thing of sculpture!
One of my favorite lcd watches. :-D
