Latest arrival: Seiko from 1978!

Post17 Mar 2012, 03:05

Just in...from 1978, the Seiko M154-5009 joins my collection. It's in overall good shape; I took care of most of the scratches, but one remains (upper left corner of the case). I'll work on that soon. The polarizing film has a little colour, but not bad. Backlight is great!
I guess Seiko never thought their watches would last 30+ years, as the perpetual calendar in this module was good until only 2009! No matter, most days I'm pretty certain what year it is...

I just LOVE the styling of the mid-70's to mid-80's Seiko LC's!

Too many watches, not enough wrists... ;-)

yeah great styling...it's always funny pushing the date button after replacing the batterie : 1970
These are really made to last at least 50 years.
