I have heard that Amitrons are cheap with stainless steel, and only use a SS cover with cheap copper or "soft" steel below. What I heard may have been specific to 70's and 80's models and beyond, but not sure how yours differs.

I think its great, they seemed to copy other modules f the time. Theres a bit of an early Citizen and the fascia is trying to do a bit of an ESA. im trying to think what the case shape has come from
