Early LCD Timex SSQ

Post12 Jan 2014, 05:47

I was never lucky with this brand of watches before but today I found this a the local Thrift Store for 10 dollars.
with the option to return it if didn't work, so what can I loose.
took it with Me put a battery and is Alive nice, I gave it a nice polish and some needed clean up.
There is a lot to like about this watch
It has good size, position of pushers, thick dome acrylic crystal, thick digits.
But the weirdest thing is how the time is set. It took me awhile to figure this out.
there is no dedicate pusher for this, the shape of the pushers game Me a clue,
I thought it was no reason for them to be flat on one side so I started to turn them
until I got some response and was able to set the time. Still need to find a nicer band.
I will give some love to this watch
I think is an overlooked gem.
