Casiotron X-1

Post23 Jan 2014, 12:28

Hi All,
I've gone and procured a NOS X-1 with the LCD affected by battery acid fumes (the battery holder itself is free of any acid residue) As you can see the RH bottom of the display screen is darkened. Any possible remedies you can suggest other than changing the whole module? Thanks.

There is no "easy" way with these things. The next step is taking it all apart and checking things for contamination of contacts. Clean everything...put it back together and try. Keep us updated :-D goodluck.
