Zenith ana-digi LED

Post04 Apr 2015, 20:27

This one looked very promising on Ebay.
Case with chipped crystal, lot of wear on the bezel, bent minute hand, I wanted it for the bracelet.

Hmmm... All screws and battery clamp missing, nice clean battery contacts, maybe I can use the movement too?

Well I got it for a very reasonable price, when it arrived I realized I couldn't use the nice bracelet with solid links for another watch, so I tried to revive the module.
Screws and clamp from donor with battery rot. I've cleaned the contacts on the circuit where the battery clamps presses against it, very weak and fragile construction.

So I did my best to bend back the minute hand, pressed the lower left button to turn on the module and:

Oh yeah :mega:

I didn't like the case, I have another one, with seized buttons due to battery rot. Extensive cleaning in the ultrasonic cleaner and a lot of fiddling restored the movement of the buttons again.
So now I've got this cool Zenith ana digi led with metal bracelet :)

Date with PM dot, zero looks weird due to gsm camera.

Awesome bracelet!

I've got this one too :)

And this one on the right, goes through batteries in days unfortunately

Yes I got lucky :) I wouldn't have bought the watch when the battery contacts were corroded though. As I showed in the photo's, the led display is for seconds or for the date with a am (left) or pm (right) dot.
