One of the few times buying a non-working Seiko G757 has worked out for me. Still had the original Union Carbide battery which had thankfully not leaked.

A new Renata 381 and it's as good as new. Still my favourite kind of Seiko.

Super watch...and still missing in my collection :-(
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Lucky find!
For some reason, almost every time I find an old dead battery that didn't leak, it's a union carbide?
