I thought it would be fun to tell what our first LED watch was (name and model) and how or when did you aquire it?
My life would never be the same without the soft warm glow of happily shining LEDs!

Mine was a Texas Instruments Star Wars model my parents bought me in 1978! I wore that little bugger ragged and loved it to death.
Here is pic of the version I had, the original is long gone:

Bulova driver's watch, taken in trade against the bill of an antiques dealer I was working for. He had asked me to take a hand at fixing some of his digitals a while before that and I decided to get one for me and my then fiancee (current missus). She got a stainless Pulsar Ladies Touch Command - her first LED watch..

The Bulova was(due to my lack of knowledge regarding the market at the time) probably the worst deal I ever made. Paid like $600 for it 8.5 years ago - standard two button, gold-tone with the "waffle top".

An Exelar, just like this:

I was 7 or 8 at the time. It "broke" very quickly, and I gave it to my Dad to fix. Needless to say, I never saw it again !
In hindsight, I think the batteries had just run down :-(

Rgds.

I also paid too much for it, at the time I was new to eBay and got carried away with the bidding.

Mine was a Silver tone Gillette Reflex 305. I was 14 years old and I saved my lawn mowing money for months to buy it. I am now 48 years old and about 2 years ago my father found it in a box and gave it back to me. I still have it and some day maybe, it will be working again.
