The Ventura Sparc MGS

The narrative is a continuous stream of sílly Swiss pink marketing bull, but the video neatly shows the new Sparc MGS.

The EasySkroll is technologically fár more significant than the rotor bit.
A pity that the consumer they need to market the thing to will be adressed by the rather  kinetic generator and not the nifty bit of electronics and programming. Apart from being a quality made digital, thát is the really 8-) extra of this watch.

The "Easy"Skroll actually has been the weak point since the vtec alpha. Hopefully they improved it - especially with the ability to set hours and minutes independently. What's intuitive about setting the minutes with a slow turn and the hours with a fast turn of the scoller??? I rarely ever get the fast turn right on both of my vtecs. I never use the countdown timer or alarm just because of the annoying setting procedure: setting the hour requires a fast scroll per each hour, and setting minutes continuous slow scrolling. Again, this is all but "intuitive". As much as I love and admire these watches: the setting procedure is horrible. My 2c.

No argument from me there.
The idea and technology however are ever so 8-)

I would happily skip the extras and just have time only with this scoll thing done right, intuitively.
I still think the Optel single crown solution of press and switch left for hours, right for minutes
40 years later is could be press once to hack, press twice and scroll hours, press thrice (I know but it sounds better) and scoll minutes. Forward for forward, back for... yes

I just need a watch to know the time, so give me thát tc or rc and in legible format please. Screw the rest.

I just accidentally mixed up the acronyms MGS and MSG which gave rise to a chain of associations.
MSG is the acronym for Mononatriumglutamaat, E621, which is a rather infamous, addictive food additive.
So infamous, that it is a household joke for us although we use the chinese name ve-tsin.
´Ventura V-tsin´ immediately jumped to mind; an adictive watch M:)W:)M
