No sour grapes Ed, i was happy to part with a large sum recently for an exceptional omega. A little digging and a few " i know some one who knows some one" turned up something really special.
So yes , logic states i shouldnt but my heart says other wise.
Europe is probably better than the US to source an Omega anyway.
I have already said i have no interest in buying anything from you .
The comments i made in this thread would be of a response you would expect from any " normal " person looking at this logically.
The risks are high , only the enthusiast would consider parting with a large sum on these . Thats why these watches are not rated highly among " proper" watch collectors . We are a tiny minority who are willing to collect these. They appeal to a handful of people only.

Well, considering you started the thread with a sky is falling premise, then suggest that people shouldn't reasonably consider spending more than 20 GPB, in obvious contrast to your acquisition which probably was more like 600 GPB, the math is seemingly quite abnormal. Don't be such a buzzkill; otherwise, who will buy your "collection" next time?
