LED watches in the movies

Post18 Apr 2008, 23:12

I was sitting watching my latest Blu-ray today "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" and noticed Richard Dreyfuss wearing a LED watch, not very often they're seen in films. Excellent film by the way now remastered in HD, looks stunning.

I always thought it was a T.I. - the command button is in the right place.

Roger Moore as James Bond in the movie "Live and Let Die" wore a LED watch at the beginning. A Hamilton Pulsar ‘P2 2900′ LED digital watch. But later he wore a Rolex.

Bill Bixby, in "The Magician" series, always wore a 2900 Pulsar. And Telly Savalas, as "Kojak", wore several different ones during the course of the series.

I was listening to some 80's songs on YouTube and spotted an LED watch purley by accident.

The video "Communication" by the Power Station is made of mostly clips from old movies. It's appears at just past 2 minutes. Looks like a generic make, gold tone, nothing fancy IMO.
