ebay hypocrisy!

Post07 May 2008, 14:12

I did a search on ebay for "vintage LED watches".

At the bottom of the search results page I found a sponsored link to this site

http://www.exactreplicas.com

how can a site which states that it is cracking down on fake designer goods have this on their site as a sponsored link?

I'm shocked!

I wonder how a company that openly offers nothing but replicas of "high-end" watches can exist since 1999 without the "original" companies getting them sued or shut down. And there are many of such websites...

you would have thought there would be an assertive attempt to close these businesses down by the original manufacturer.

What does concern me is that ebay accepts payment from them to advertise which is surely a "thumbs-up" to those out there who peddle fake items.

That site is actually owned by a "non-participating member" of this forum(not banned, just strongly persuaded to not actively make their presence here known). He's in the UK. He's a founding member of an infamous rogue site. I personally don't understand why a person with any real money would want a fake(the psychology of that is subject for another thread  ) - it's like masturbating when you have a live, willing partner available, IMO. "Different strokes for different folks". Well, I have to admit it does have some pluses: no doggy-style sex(begging), you can roll over and take a nap if ya want/need; fairly safe-sex(unless your hands are really dirty or rough ). And of course, "Rosy-Palm" can be anyone or thing you want.

I'm curious, how do you know you are a Pro if nobody is rating you?  I know, I know - if it was good for you it must be working. M:)W:)M Seems to be ebay's philosophy too(and you thought we were totally off thread here.) :o

no matter where I am, walking through the street, sat in the pub minding my own business people insist on shouting "wanker!" at me so I'm assuming this means I'm a pro being that I appear to have a reuptation.
