New record price for NON-working LED to be set...

Post10 Jan 2010, 02:26

A Hamilton QED digital is about to set an all-time record for a NON-WORKING LED watch. Predictably, one of the rabid bidders is a newbie with zero feedback. The high bidder [with 64] should be experienced enough to know better. It's a shame to see things like this [I'm sure the seller would disagree with me!]; even if the winner manages to get it working, it's worth less than half the price they're paying. Item 200423542804. Pity it's not possible to contact these guys and pull them back from the brink of a poorly-considered purchase [I may have to re-consider my estimate of the state of the economy].

If I was the seller I'd be seriously worried that the zero freedback bidder won the auction and won't pay-up.

Have these guys never heard of sniping... ;-)

I've seen it suggested in another thread that this is a case of "shill bidding". I hope so, or somebody is going to get seriously screwed! This is already up to about twice the value of the watch [that is, if it were in perfect working condition!]. But it has happened...$1055...insanity!
