Ebay: interesting Omega cal.1603

Post23 Jul 2013, 13:41

As something of an early Omega digi fan, I spotted this one over at Ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-LED-Dig ... 1c3501b36f

The seller suggests that "The watch does NOT seem to work. I haven't taken the back off as I do not want to scratch the metal."

I wonder if it's the same watch as this one from the USA?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-Omega-Dig ... 7675.l2557

In this case, the seller says “This watch is in new old stock condition externally, but it appears the batteries may have leaked...” and shows a pic of the back off with the movement looking a little worse for wear.

It's a shame either way. Wonder what it would cost to get repaired?

Yes the two listings do seem similar - its the old story of haven't taken back off/can't find batteries knowing full well that they probably have tested it and its not working. Its gone for a high-ish price but these are not too easy to find.
