You'd still keep the previous domain name running and pointed to your new domain name for the forseeable future. It doesnt cost much and search engine robots are probably still linked to the old forum, you'd want any traffic that found its way there pointed to this forum. Now its just a dead end. If someone else bought the domain name they could point it to their own site and we wouldnt want that.

I moved the domain to my own provider, so that I have to deal with one company only. As soon as the move is complete, the domain is available again and is redirected to newdwf.com.

After a merger with another company we set up a website for original members privately. We have a donation section. If this is costing you, I think we can all share the pain.

Cheers, Geoff

Hi Geoff,

thanks but I wasn´t complaining about the money. I just want some members to think about using a free platform doesn´t go with permanent bellyaching. And this has nothing to do with the thread starter as he´s running a similar platform. :-D

Fortunately for me Hanno. As its linked to the library I only get the odd question on identifying a watch, finding a watch or where to get a watch repaired. There's no sales section or any selling. If there's questions about LEDs they just get sent here to bellyache:)
