According to here http://www.oldpulsars.com/index.asp it is the Men's P3L (P3 Ladies for Men)..........

This Special and VERY rare model was produced for men in the Asian market who's wrist are typically somewhat smaller. This model is only mentioned on page 54 in the second edition Jeweler's Technical Manual. The factory Bracelet is 7-7/8" long attached to the same case used for the Ladies Cushion model. Only available in Stainless, the P3L has the same 104 Auto-Set module used in the later men's Dress watches. The 104 module has a larger display than the typical modules utilized in the Ladies models

* This model is so rare that only two watches are known to exist. Both watches came from Japan with the Multi-Language fold-out instruction manual. This model uses the same links for adjustment as the 3100 and the 3201 solid link bracelets.

Congratulations it looks like you've bagged yourself a rare one!

It would be interesting to hear Bruce's opinion on the watch.

Maybe there will still be time for a second chance to buy the item Abe. ;-)

3 HOURS after I bought the watch and the seller had shipped the watch . a strange email came back from the seller telling me I had got a bargain as he was just told by another party that wanted the watch that he had just sold a 2000 plus dollar watch .

Hmm, well, that wasn't me. I exchanged a couple of emails with him this morning but I never quoted him a value. After I found out that it had already been nabbed, I sent him what I thought was a friendly email letting him know that I thought it might be a rare model and a link to Dennis's page on the P3L (http://www.oldpulsars.com/P3L.htm). He emailed me a rather terse note in all caps in response. I guess he must have been in a bit of a grumpy mood after what he sold it for ($120?)!

he told me 7 people emailed him so it must have been one of them . am glad he went to the post office right away and shipped it . with tracking . checking trackings working . all ok . he got back from post office and there was 5 emails from other buyers so he must have been sick . I did see one sell for 1500 dollars 6 years ago. she does look new . :-D

I would have waited until I had the watch in my hand before saying anything, you never know who will try to hijack the deal, lucky for you that he posted so quickly or it could of been a different story. ~:(

Hi,

Although the P3L is super rare, I'm wondering if it is composed of relatively standard Pulsar components?:
1) case from a ladies stainless P4 Cushion model
2) module from a P4 Dress model
3) links from a pair of P4 Exec solid link bracelets

If you assembled these components together, would it be indistinguishable from a P3L or are there slight differences?

On Dennis's oldpulsars web site, it says the following:
"The factory Bracelet is 7-7/8" long attached to the same case used for the Ladies Cushion model. Only available in Stainless, the P3L has the same 104 Auto-Set module used in the later men's Dress watches. "

Also, he has photos of the ladies P4 cushion and the P4L side by side - they look pretty close:

I think everything you've listed is the same Abe.
From what I can see, the only "tricky" part to "making" one of these P3L's from other watch parts, would be the 2 links that connect to the case. The connector links from a P4 don't fit.

A few months back, one of these sold quietly (actually completed the auction  ) on eBay for under $300. I can't find the link to the auction though.
