RICOH RIQUARTZ 122002

Post08 Jul 2015, 16:18

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I have a Ricoh Riquartz 122002 watch that I had in my possession since the 1980's. I just recently came across it again and wanted to use it. When I opened up the watch, I noticed that the battery had been removed. I probably took out the battery many years ago and misplaced it. My question is does anyone know what type of battery this watch takes? I have tried to find the information on line but have had no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks Kasper.
I measured the opening for the battery and it looks to be 9.5mm across. I am guessing it would have to be a 399 (SR927W) battery. If anyone thinks different, please let me know.
Thanks again and have a great day. :-D

:Hi: "willkommen" A 371 is thinner so probably best to start there, if you cant work out the thickness.
If it's not thick enough you can always pack it up with a tiny bit of tin foil on top.
Then buy the correct one next time.
:bye: Pete

Kasper :call: This Microsoft Band you bought.....

Are they any good and what kind of music do they play?
Bet it's retro 80's synth.

Hi and thanks for your advice. Maybe I will try a thinner battery first and if need be, build it up with a bit of aluminum foil. I will probably try and buy a battery in the next couple of days and will let you know the outcome.
Thanks again for all your help. :-D

As :grin1: or M:)W:)M as my comments maybe, I thought Kaspers were much better.

1, just measure the hole so you have an idea :-D
 did he mean ass hole or pigeon hole. :ironie:
and
2, Don't go to high in thickness.
 Well what can I say, the man's a genius.
And he wasn't even trying.

Kasper I bow to your superiority. :nikolaus:

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know, I purchased a 395/399 battery for my watch and it was the correct size. I put it in and couldn't be happier. I sure missed this watch. Thanks again to everyone for your help and advice. If I need any help in the future I know who to turn to. :-D
