P4 Module Problem

I have a P4 Auto-set which shows a full static display when powered up (eg. 10:00). It doesn't change however. I thought it may need setting before starting to run, but pressing the time-button 3 times does nothing. I replaced the QC, but this didn't help.

Do I need one of the oscillator chips discussed previously ? Or is a failed oscillator stage only the problem, with a single static digit ?

Any other ideas ?

no reply after 10 days - perhaps there is a holiday season ;)
I'm not an expert on the P4 but most likely the oscillator might help. However in comparison to the P2 and P3, I don't know where to install the oscillator on a P4.
Directions are appreciated.
