Pulsar Calculator Watch

Post25 May 2006, 20:08

Just getting interested in calculator watches, so sorry for the newbie questions.

Is there a place one can view scanned instructions for vintage watches?

My current interest is the Pulsar calculator watch with the wrist-flick feature - Is the time supposed to display by any method other than flicking your wrist? How is the calculator activated, and when activated, does it display a "0," or "nothing" until numbers are pressed?

Thanks.

The calculator modules came in two versions, the 901 and 902. The 901 was earlier, and did not have the Auto-Command feature. It also required an additional button-press to display running seconds, rather than simply keeping the button down for more than 1.25 seconds. Activating the calculator on the 901 was done by pressing the "0" key. The 902 had Auto-Command, and the calculator was switched on by the "+" key. Both versions are Auto-Set. The watches can be distinguished by checking the lower right button on the keyboard; "C" = 901, and "=" = 902. In both, time is displayed by pressing the "Pulsar" button. Multiple presses of the "S" button allow independant setting of the hour, minute, date, etc.
