changing date problem

Post25 Jun 2006, 14:55

Hi guys,
here is my problem with my Hamilton (Pulsar module):
It works great
changing hour and minute is not a problem with the magnet
changing month is ok
but changing date doesn't work , when i place the magnet nothing visibly happens the date doesn't move but when i release the date button , it reveals that the minutes have changed???
This excludes a reed switch problem as I can change the minute without problem (same switch)

Any clue?

Hi, I struggled with this.

Not got my P3 to hand at the moment, but from memory I held both buttons in (date button first) and then held the magnet at the same place as I used to change the month (think it's the 'mins')

Hope this helps

I.m pretty sure you are using the magnet on the wrong reed switch, the minutes are the only thing you alter with the "min" reed switch. The hours, month and date are all set with the magnet on the "HR" reed.Holding the date button with the magnet on "HR" should alter the month. Holding both buttons with the magnet on "HR" should alter date with the little dot oscillating between AM (top) and PM (bottom of display) Hope this helps :D
