Pulsar P4 Stainless Steel Classic DOW with Sapphire Crystal

Post30 Jan 2007, 02:57

I just bought this watch on Ebay it works smoothly, and flawlessly.... It's in mint condition and to me is one of the nicest Pulsar watches ever made... I love the unique autoset, DOW feature, and the accuracy is stunning... I set the watch over 7 days ago, and still right on the second nice..... I really like the flick of the wrist feature which is cool...... I think the P4 line of watches are nicest ones made by Time Computer..... I have many other Pulsar LEDs, but this one is my favorite.... I know no watch can match the original P1!!! What is your favorite Pulsar LED watch?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
my favourite Pulsar is a Hamilton.

it's the classic HAMILTON stainless steel with date (one button on each side is better from an easthectical point of view), it has the big H on the clasp, the crystal is signed both Hamilton on bottom and with the H on top.
It has the Pulsar module , magnet set, with dot matrix display.
Same quality, different design.
And they come a little cheaper than the Pulsar but I think they are rarer as you don't find so many on ebay.
Am I right?

Favorite Pulsar

Post05 Feb 2007, 22:46

To us dedicated Pulsar collectors, this question is a bit like asking a parent which child is their favorite. But I'll try, anyway...
When everything is out on the table, my eye is drawn irresistably to the P1. The understated, yet classically elegant design attracts the notice even of non-collectors. The fact it is a solid gold watch is a minor consideration; its' historical significance vastly outweighs any mere intrinsic value.
Second place goes to the Executive [whether in stainless steel, or 18K gold, it is still the design that stands out]. Along with the D/C, they look as futuristic now as they did in the 70s, a definitive test of a truly great design.
Finally, I will always have a special fondness for the Date/Command. It was my first Pulsar [I bought one, brand new, on my birthday in 1974; I still have it, functioning perfectly]. It is the watch that most people visualize when they hear the name "Pulsar", and there can be little doubt that it was the flagship Time Computer model.

I've been wearing a Stainless Dress model(started as a nice case and glass with no band) - I put a black leather Pulsar Date Cmmmand band on it...a stylish rig, IMO.

This may be a strange answer for someone who doesn't own a single Pulsar- but if there was only one LED in the world i could own, of any make, of any cost, it would be a Pulsar 18k 7917 Touch Command Rectangle Dresswatch, no contest- forget every LED you have ever seen- see it and you will be in love-you must all be deranged if you dont agree- it is electronic PORN- phew :!: got carried away a bit there. Thats my favourite :D

For me no doubt about it, Stainless P3 date Command, just beautiful in every way.

Also I love eBay, obtained so many fantastic items including all of my Pulsar watches. Just be careful and know about what you are buying. Interacted with many nice people including Dennis, Lloyd and MJ.

Is there someplace we can see pictures of all these models? It's driving me nuts reading all these model numbers without seeing them!
