Pulsar Logo

Post23 Sep 2011, 21:25

Is the Pulsar logo on on the crystal of a P4 embossed or engraved?

I am at present trying to polish out some marks on it and need to work around the logo but fear it might rub off?

Unless a fake or some after-market imitation, the original logos were a glass paint(real glass dust in a base), baked onto the glass. It is fairly abuse resistant. Since I helped you with the lapping film, I'll suggest you just place a finger-tip just over the logo, and rub the glass with the lapping film with your other hand. From what I saw of your glass, this should only take a few minutes of work.

Suggestion: unpin your band at the clasp before starting.... 8-) so much easier to get a good grip on a case if you can just stick your hand into the band and not have to worry about twisting or otherwise "jacking" the band.

Cheers Ed,

I got a lot of experience with polishing cases ( takes a while longer than it does with the glass ) and I managed to clean up the marks - which Im agreeing with you on the aluminum rub off! I was just unsure of the logo and it would have been really upsetting if after all this work I faded or ruined the logo

After examining the logo close up it is definitely what has been described
