Just saw a really good close-up of a gold P3 in an episode of CHiPs.
Unfortunately I was too slow in hitting the record button, but maybe someone else can dredge it up from somewhere. It was an episode called "Highway Robbery".
A motorcyclist was robbing people in traffic jams on the LA freeways. An unsuspecting executive was sitting in his car with his arm resting on the door frame, half hanging out the window. The thief pulled up next to him, ripped it from his wrist and sped off in between the cars.
Of course Ponch and John tracked him down and arested him !
I used to love CHiPs as a kid. Tearing round on a motor bike catching crooks...............every kids dream
