Hamilton alarm module

Post10 Apr 2015, 08:24

Hi all I've recently bought a Hamilton alarm watch that works great, the problem is the module has no plastic pips on it to locate it in the case. What stops the module from rotating making the display look crooked when viewed.Cheers Dave.

There is a floating pip. It is semicircular, like half a cylinder and it slips down a corresponding groove in the case and the movement. Sounds like yours is missing. Maybe something like a piece of a blue cap to a bic stick pen can be made to fit.

Cheers

Hi Geoff, thanks for the reply I have rechecked the outside edge of the module and there is no sign that there has ever been a pip moulded on to it.Still confused Dave.

Well now I am confused. I am away from home but will open up my hamilton.

Geoff

The pip slides into a square flat slot with retaining edges (from memory), and will readily fall out when the module is removed.

Can you supply a picture of the inside with the module in place and removed?

Is the hamilton similar to the one near the middle of these shots:

Hi Geoff yes the watch is similar to the one in your pictures, the display is exactly the same, though the strap is different. Sorry I don't have a digital camera to take any pictures. Cheers Dave.
