Finished my Gold P2 projects

Post25 Dec 2015, 20:26

I have found I am not a huge fan of Gold Filled Pulsars but I do have a interest in P2's over other models. So I have 2 Stainless P2's (one in my avatar) which are both very clean so I decided to procure 2 Gold P2's. One is a 14Kt Gold Case/stainless back model 2975 and a standard 14kt GF Model 2970. Both came from good Pulsar acquaintances in the USA and GB. So I decided to tear them down and do a nice cleaning/brushing/new crystals and overall amateur restoration. They turned out very well. Neither are perfect but they turned out nice for what I like. :Hi:

Beautiful examples of the most popular models. Looks like you have a great P2 collection especially with the Neiman Marcus and the 2975. Two of the more desirable models to own. Good job refinishing them.

Thanks! It's always nice to have two good working modules and a few spare minty crystals. 4 days later and a little patience, I have a couple nice Pulsars and avoided the huge hassle of sending them somewhere for repair/restoration. :Hi:

It is nice learning how to install crystals and refinish cases yourself. It avoids many sleepless nights and stomach ulcers worrying when your precious Pulsar will ever be returned without swapped parts or being overcharged for shotty work. Been there, done that. I have learned it is best to buy junkers with working modules to get a non working Pulsar working. It is so much cheaper and faster in the long run. Timecollector, sounds like you and I have traveled down the same road. :Prost:
