Yes, sure enough, that's a 2975...absolutely a solid 14K case (the distinctive internal structure is shown very clearly in the pics), and the case back is correct for this model. Known in two very limited serial number blocks (I have numbers 10856 and 11621, with two between, and 18002 and 18075), so this one, at 11760, fits well into that run. Numbers 11153 and 11257 have also appeared on eBay. I'm guessing that maybe 500 (almost certainly less than 1000) of these were produced.
Nice to see the original paper work. A real shame about the dent in the case, within the Pulsar logo (that will be a difficult fix, at best). Too bad about the inscription on the back; without it, that would be worth significant money on its' own.
At USD$800, this is just marginally above "melt" value, so might be worth a chance at repair.
