What Happened to TimeTrafficker.com

Post20 Mar 2019, 18:29

Hi.

Sorry I've been absent for a while. I used to maintain a web site called TimeTrafficker.com where I used to write about and buy and sell vintage watches. I let it go dark at the beginning of this year and I thought I might let people know why.

I had thought that my domain was set up to auto-renew but apparently I was mistaken. I was busy with work and other things and accidentally let the domain lapse in December. It was immediately snapped up by a domain squatter who is seeking to extort $1000 from me for the return of the domain. I guess that's the world we live in. Well, that's not going to happen. So, that's why TimeTrafficker is history. Perhaps it's for the best since I haven't had time lately to properly run the site and to be responsive enough to emails and inquiries.

I was thinking that I may try to put up the site as a watch history / resource site rather than being focused on vintage watch sales. For a while I was too demoralized by having my domain swiped to think about it but I do kind of miss having the watch photos and write-ups online.

So, anyhow, if anyone was wondering, that's what happened to TimeTrafficker.com.

Tootles,

-abe.

Well, I'll go with you Kasper !
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Hello Adam,
I would love your website with great watch photos.
I am shocked to learn that there are scams with domain names.
I hope that the phoenix watchtraffiker will be reborn.
Greetings
