MkI Leap Year Indicator

Post02 Mar 2010, 11:50

Some time ago I noticed that sometimes there's a dot shown on the MkI date display. Howard told me it's some kind of leap year indicator. It's not mentioned in the manual (just like the month setting procedure !).
On the Monsanto dsiplay, it's in the top left corner, and on the bar segment type display, it's underneath the display. It's quite faint on the Monsanto display, about the same intensity as the colon.

It's displaying this year on my daily wearer, and February ran through to the 29th. I just had to reset it.

So, if anyone's ever wondered about it, it seems that when displayed, the year is a leap year.

Rgds,
Andrew.
