There is a steady trickle of revived Synchronars on Ebay.
Some rebuild with a revised module, some assembled from old parts.
I don´t want to critisize the specific imperctions noticed on most of those offered, but I do have a nagging question.
How good was the level of finish/manufacture of the Synchronar in it´s various incarnations?
I cannot imagine that an 18k one for an emperor would have looked ánything like a zinc cased model.
Nor can I imagine that even an ´economic´ zinc sun watch would have been sold with the finish seen on ebay today.
Nor can I imagine that the last of the Mk IV models are representative.
I can imagine that we are sometimes seeing the bottom of the barrel scraped and stuck together, but.... what wás the SLoP of the Synchronar?
