HP01 factoid.
A friend of mine who is an amateur horologist was examining my just acquired gold filled HP01 and pointed out the star that was stamped into the case below the case material stamp. Apparently this stamp was a trademark of the well know case maker, Star Watch Case Company of Ludington Michigan.
So, of course I began further research with this nugget, and found a few references to Star having made cases for Pulsar and the 'innovative HP calculator watch'.
Sadly though Star was out of business by the late 80's so we wont find any spares or dies ;(
