Hi guys,
I've been looking around for a watch band for a Wittnauer LED watch, but so far I haven't located one, and I thought perhaps you could advise me of where to get one. The watch is question looks like the one in the picture I have attached, and the watch itself is 33.5mm wide, while the band would need to be 24mm wide, where it attaches to the watch case. I thought about getting a really wide band, perhaps something like a 32mm-wide band, and trying to trim down the ends so that it would attach to the 24mm-wide lugs, but I'm not at all sure that that would look all that great (plus, I'd probably end up destroying a perfectly good band, trying to trim it to fit the lugs). Besides, a watch band like that (32mm) would probably be that width most of the entire length of the band, and as you can see from the picture, the original style band would have been very wide where it connected to the watch, but then it would have tapered down rapidly, to something probably around 18 or 20mm, I'm guessing. Anyway, thanks in advance, for any help that anyone can render! Cheers, Dodger
Incidentally...does anyone know what model designation, this watch would have had? I know a lot of Wittnauers, especially the Polaras, would have had models: Polara I, Polara II, Model 300, Model 125, etc., ...but, I'm not sure what you would call this particular big-block-styled Wittnauer? Thanks!
