Sometimes these offer the better option as you are more likely to get what you actually pay for, ebay can be a gamble where you can win some but also lose some IMHO.
There are a lot of people who never shop on ebay, so it doesn't really stand as the benchmark for pricing - some folks would rather spend $100 for a Hughes module once, than guess that they are buying the right piece, with the correct module for their minty but quite dead case.

Some will pay more for a dealer/customer relationship. The main bubble of pieces buried away in drawers and such may have came to head, since if the average recipient/purchaser of a [now]desirable vintage LED was 35 or older back then, they owner is now 70+. With life expectancy around 78 yrs., the
vast majority will be out of the drawers during the next 7-8 years is what I'm thinking.
Ebay and paypal policy changes have probably altered the playing field also.
