Looking at the buttons, it could be the same setting system as the Hamilton alarms.

If so, you set the hours, tens of mins (eg 10, 20 30..), and single minutes seperately. Press the 9 o'clock button once to get the hours flashing. Set with the 10 o'clock button. Press 9 o'clock again for the 'tens' part of the mins i.e. the 3 when the time is say 9:35. Press the 9 o'clock button again to set the single part of the minutes ( the 5 in our 9:35 example). To activate the alarm press the 10 o'clock button twice and the alarm time will flash briefly to confirm it's been activated. Dont expect the alarm to wake the neighbours tho, I think it'll be fairly quiet. Hope that helps.

When the alarm sounds, a line on the display flashes. Check this, so you can be sure the alarm is working. If the line flashes and no sound is heard,
check the contacts to the piezo electric capsule on the back.
If the module is the same Frontier alarm as in the Hamilton (very likely) it will have two microscopic springs that make contact between the module board and the piezo alarm capsule.
Maybe one of them is faulty. If not, maybe the piezo unit is gone.
Let me know, maybe i have one somewhere...
Probably are the contacts, though.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

if spring contacts are in place and setting is done corrrectly, but the alarm is furtheron not working, your module may need a synchronization between time setting and alarm setting. This is a kind of a resetting and is needed in some rare events. The exact procedere is described in the manual.

Sadly, nor do I :( but that does sound like a problem I have with one of my Hamilton alarms. The alarm sounds 10 minutes befor it's supposed to. I's there any chance of posting a scan, or some detail of the synchrnization instructions here please, www.digitalwatches.de?

Hello,

resetting for synchronizing alarm and time can be achieved by using the following procedure:

Press all 3 buttons simultaneously (the 2 alarm buttons on the left and the command button on the right), then depressing the alarm activate button (upper left) twice. This procedure sets both the alarm and the watch to 1 A.M., Sunday, Jan. 1. and you should hear the alarm signal. If this condition does not occur trying the first time, repeat the procedure a second time.

If this does not help to fix your problem, I am pretty sure the IC on your module is irreparable defect.

Good luck!

www.digitalwatches.de, you're a genius. That worked a treat on my watch. The setting procedure also got a bit strange, and that's all fixed now too :)

Good luck embelton, hope it does the trick on your watch too :)

From my experience these Frontier (brand name) alarm modules often act strange when battery voltage gets low. Exactly like you described the alarm will sound at a different time than you set it to. Resetting the watch by pressing all buttons at once may only help temporarily. Try fresh batteries then :!:

Hi,
I have a NOS module (and watch) which isn't working , if this could help , I could sell or trade with you,if want to get some parts out of it.

It has been stored with batteries  ,the inside is clean though but the quartz crystal has fallen , maybe a quartz change would do the trick?

Let me know if you want some pictures...
