What kind of problem is this?

Post02 Nov 2006, 22:58

I recently sold a Compuchron LED watch that I had purchased on Ebay about a year ago. It always worked fine for me, but the person I sold it to is reporting the following:

I've set it several times but it does not keep time.

The time won't advance unless I push the top left button down to view the seconds. Then the seconds will 'tick' but only as long as I hold down the button.

Once I let go the time freezes. I then push the top left button again to display the time and it's just where I left it. A minute or several hours later the hours & minutes remain the same on the watch.

It wont advance unless I hold down the top left button.

Does this sound like a problem anyone is familiar with? Bad module, or maybe just a loose battery connection?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bill

ps Here's the watch I sold, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0033902936.
