Litronix need new quartz?

Post05 Aug 2015, 21:30

Hi I have an LED watch that has a Litronix type module. The inside cover reads LaGeneral Swiss Made. When the batteries are applied, I get 8s in random places on the read out. Can anyone assist me with this? The watch was bought at a sale and I'm saving it for parts, hoping to get it running again. Any information would help, thanks guys! :-D

The handful of Litronix LEDs that I've seen with similar problems have hairline cracks in the circuit board . I check them with a magnifier because they are very hard to see sometimes with the naked eye . Dark spots on the traces are a good place to look first . Good luck .

Some of the Litronix QC's are housed inside a glass topped vacuum sealed container and I am not sure that they can be replaced.... ....

I'd go for washing the module. if it has hairline cracks they can easily be repaired with silver epoxy, but random 8s don't sound like broken circuits to me.

Its a good try to change quartz brick first. Anyway U will get an answer - the quartz or cirquit block is not working.
