Although it's not a 70's watch, I think it's from the early 90's, it does have its fans, particularly due to its distinctive shape, and red backlit LCD display. I would say the price you paid is full, but not outrageous, especially as it comes with the original box, and it looks to be in mint condition. However, the fault will keep the value down if/when you come to resell it. I think you would do very well to get your money back, if you sell it in the near future. Quality may not be up to the standard of 70's Pulsars, but then again not much is, and many watches, e.g. Amida Digitrend, that were really poor quality (all be it not an electronic digital), are now very desirable. Keep hold of the watch and enjoy it :D
