Pulsar 901 Calculator button functions

Post20 Jan 2007, 23:10

I've just become the proud owner of a 901 but it didn't come with instructions, so I'm trying to fathom the function of the following buttons - 'A', 'R', 'S' ,'E' and 'C'. Can anyone enlighten me?

A = Add to memory
R = Memory read/clear [clears with two consecutive pushes]
S = Subtract from memory [when in calculator mode]
S = Enter setting mode [when in timekeeping mode, successive pushes switch to minutes, hours, month, date. 901 has no Day-Of-Week or Auto-Command...flick-of-wrist...function]
E = Clear entry
C = Clear calculator

Thanks for that Bruce. Btw, my P3 is in the post... I just bought my girlfriend an Oval 2406 as well. My Pulsar acquisition habit is getting out of control!

You should be careful. It starts with a couple of Pulsars. Then it's several Pulsars. Then one day you think it might be nice to try a Hamilton QED (the obvious progression from there being an Omega TC1 or 2).

Before you know it everything's fair game, you find that you're watching at least ten auctions at any one time (you've started buying lcd's and you don't know why???) and then you start thinking about getting the really expensive watches.

Before you know it, you've lost your wife, job, house, and kids and you're living on the street with only a dead synchronar, a rusty soldering iron and a zantech quartz timer to keep you company. :wink:

Oh yeah and those buttons spell A R S E (if you ignore the C...).

ledlover: Depending on your woman's age and dressing style, she might enjoy a pendant type LED. People are always asking my wife,"what is that on your necklace". It starts looking like this...

No, no, no! I think having 4 led watches is plenty for the moment!!!

My g/f has dyed bright red hair, so a pulsar would definitely colour co-ordinate... I've bought it for her, but whether she'll wear it is a different matter!

I've acquired the same identical big pendant LED watch for my gf.
It's just beautiful.
I thought it was custom made by some jeweler but as there are others this must have been a common watch type. However this is the 2nd one I've seen ever. It doesn't look like a watch at all.

Big Pendant

Post30 Jan 2007, 15:14

Yeah, that's a big one...it's got a man's 29mm module in it. A few rough spots on that filigree part I had to sand and polish...solid bright brass so no problem.

Now I just got her a third pendant...
