Anyone else see Elvis' Gold Pulsar P1 on the Bay?

It didn't last long - wonder what happened to it(?), the seller hasn't relisted it -

Hi,
He could of taken better pictures of this historical P1 that works.... Wow to the Col. from Elvis that is so cool!!!!! This P1 could use a nice restoration, and cleaning.... Then it should look like new.... Overall its in pretty good condition I would say.......... It's looks like another P1 has resurfaced out of the 400 or so made.... I believe it has the early P2 module in it....... Awesome!!!!!!! I wonder if he will relist it because the bidding is sure to go a lot higher probably $10,000+.........

Thanks,
Mike

This is a new one, for sure; the serial number is not on the P1 Owners' List. I believe this makes 28 confirmed specimens known to exist. And I can practically guarantee you this one won't be re-listed. If I had to guess, it's on its' way to the guy who bought the one sold on eBay by the [Elvis] sunglasses maker. You must admit, the two would be a great pair, with this one having by far the closer connection to the legend. Pity it doesn't mention if the magnet is still in the clasp; that would be a big plus. It certainly has the earlier, larger P2 circuit board; only a couple P1s have the smaller, later board.

I guess the Colonel could afford to give the King something like that  After all Elvis payed for it himself. I do remember seeing on Guys site one owned by Yul Brunner. Apart from Paul McCartney's *Synchronar has any other celeb owned such a watch - I assume that it would add significant value to the piece itself.

*Assuming Heather doesn't get it :(

There's the legendary Telly Savalas LED he wore as Kojak. I,ve seen reports he wore a Pulsar, an Omega, but the Kojak one looks like a Hamilton. I wonder what became of that watch ? Regarding Elvis' P1, perhaps his estate bought if for show at Gracelands

I had absolutely no idea it belonged to anyone famous until the Auctioneers told me and provided me with documantation, after the sale..
I doubt I would have paid a lot more... My interest is in the watch mainly, but I guess a well known celebrity may add some collectability to it.

With regards to the Elvis P1, if it belonged to Elvis himself and said "E.A.Presley on the side, I think it would go for the wrong side of 20-25k and you'd be up against the "Elvis-ites" as well as the Pulsar collectors.

Simon.
