pulsar?? I've stumbled across

Post14 Dec 2006, 20:08

Hi everyone,I'm new

I've stumbled across a very interesting retro watch whilst looking for a Nixon watch on fleabay.
Can anyone tell me about this style of watch, and how much it 'could' be worth.,bearing in mind there's a slight fault described in the ad.

The item number is 120061726021

Thanks!

Pulsar Spoon, nothing related to the real Pulsar LED's. May be of interest for the red display, not that rare as I have seen quite a few on eBay. In fact I have one of the oval display type myself. Quality of construction average.

Although it's not a 70's watch, I think it's from the early 90's, it does have its fans, particularly due to its distinctive shape, and red backlit LCD display. I would say the price you paid is full, but not outrageous, especially as it comes with the original box, and it looks to be in mint condition. However, the fault will keep the value down if/when you come to resell it. I think you would do very well to get your money back, if you sell it in the near future. Quality may not be up to the standard of 70's Pulsars, but then again not much is, and many watches, e.g. Amida Digitrend, that were really poor quality (all be it not an electronic digital), are now very desirable. Keep hold of the watch and enjoy it :D
The other day, my computer beat me at chess. It was rubbish at kick boxing though.

hey, the spoon is late 90's for sure. around that time also Fossil made the first comeback LEDs.
the fault with the alarm not working after changing the batteries might have been caused by loosing or improper installation of a tiny spring which connects the module with the alarm-plate on the caseback. try to find it in the case or rob a cheap watch.
