proraga, I have a Birks LED too. I don't know much about them but I've heard the modules are supposed to be very reliable. I've never had a problem with mine. Though I wish the display was a bit brighter I've been very happy with it.

BTW - the display is off in this pic. It's not that dim! ;-)

Oh heck, I'll join in. The Birks watches are Rotary brand watches, logo-ed for Birks[no, seriously  ]. The modules are really nice, IMO...I have a few extra of their modules and recently sold one to "digibloke"(if I remember correctly). The one's with flick-wrist feature can have time, then date and then continuous seconds all activiated by sequential flicks of the wrist. Only drawback - no way to shut off "flick" feature. :-?

Mine were super bright...maybe yours has a problem with the light sensor?

Ed, you mentioned my Birks may have a problem with the light sensor.
I had no idea these modules had a light sensor (like a Pulsar)? Cool! :-D
My Birks is currently hibernating (sans batteries) but when I get it back
in the rotation I'll report if it's still a dim-wit. :-P

Unfortunately mine does not have the flick of the wrist feature, I didn't know that some models had that option.

proraga - I think you paid a great price for yours. I paid a little over $100 for mine. And free batteries/cleaning for life? Birks sounds like a pretty cool place to me.

And thanks Ed for fixing my pic/link in the previous post. :-)
