Melting Pot Polls

Post21 Jan 2008, 20:22

Ok, things have gotten almost hot enough to melt a mafunctional Pulsar and I hate seeing two very ardent Pulsar enthusiasts feuding over occurances that nobody could possibly have complete data proving any position. The best we can do is each give our opinion.

I'm going to make a series of these polls, each with a slightly different question - look close and join in. It will prove no one person right or wrong, only indicate the common consensus.

: Melting Pot Polls

Post21 Jan 2008, 21:10

Can we have another poll asking what the next peak gold price could be in the next 12 months ?!

Traditionally, investors and banks and governments all take flight into gold whenever economic times get hard, and its normally the last bastion of wealth. But in recent times, traditions often get broken to the surprise of the masses. And gawd forbid what might happen if gold looses its lustre.

So what do people think ?

I'm missing "I do not the faintest idea" as a possible answer in the polls ;-)

Diginut, I'm thinging that would be real speculating, considering changes of Presidents in the US this year and any number of unforseeable world occurances. I will say this - I've taken two solid gold Pulsar cases to my scrap gold/silk broker and have a big barrel full of busted up gold-filled stuff that I call my retirement fund.

We could do a poll - but wait...I have a fire to put out over in another area :-? . At very least I smell smoke....or is it mendacity?

Might seem like speculating, but its meant in jest ..

Only a couple of weekends ago I was reading one of the big sunday newspapers, and how they had asked a number of 'experts' to predict movements in the stock market and housing market yadda yadda.

well, made me laugh when some said that after a choppy ride, we'd see +5% overall, where as many were doom and gloom all round. That might come to be the case 12 months from now. But the main markets have fallen 5% today, and over 10% since the new year, and it aint looking pretty !!!

I'm sitting on the side lines, totally out of stocks, flogged the house, and not planning on melting anything down. I'm watching in fascination which way its all going to go. I'm doing this becuase I didnt obey my hunches in 1987 and took a right pounding for 6 months. The kind that leaves you psychologically scarred !
