Unknown LED

Hi all,

I was recently given a non-working LED watch.
I don't even know what brand it is, never seen these logos before.
The module says "Perkins" and it's layed out like a Hughes module.
The size of the LED's look decent so I'm thinking of having it repaired
(if possible) but was first wodering if it's even worth it? Maybe it's a 'ghetto brand" watch? The gold-tone finish certainly isn't high quality.

Any info. is appreciated!

If any digits light up try replacing the quartz, have you tried a Hughes module in to see if it fits, nice watch by the way...

Thanks Klippie and thanks for the info. I looked at the logo section of the digitalwatch.com but didn't go through all the pics on the LED watches section.

The bugger doesn't light up at all. Nothing - no signs of life.
I'm thinking of sending to to Ed to see if he can ressurect it. In the meantime I think one of my Hughes moduels would fit in there nicely.
I'll give it a try. What I need to do find is one of the bigger digit Hughes modules. That would look real nice...

I've got the same watch in stainless (or chrome plated base metal), unworn mint condition. It stopped working a few weeks after I purchased it (probably a crystal problem), never attempted to repair it.
The module has (rather had) a stopwatch feature, but AFIAK mine looks different.
It was my first vintage LED watch.

This La Generale model was your first vintage LED watch rewolf? Cool.
It was the first bug that bit you. Mine only has one command button, so I'm guessing it isn't the stopwatch variety.

Ahh... I remember my first vintage LED watch. It wasn't vintage back then, but brand new. The Star Wars Texas Instruments watch - the one with R2D2 and C3PO on it. God knows I wore that thing to death.. literally!

Yes but because it died after a few weeks I became very careful and was quite successful in avoiding further "bites"
