Bulova Computron (Driver) with light sensor?

Is this a common feature with the Computron's? At first it was 'driving' me crazy because I thought the display was dimming down from poor battery contact, or whatever. But nope, it has a light sensor. It has the earliest module in it, with no day of the week.

I've only seen 3 or 4 of the computron drivers modules, but have never seen a light sensor. The modules I've seen are all the earlier 4 digit modules too.
Where is it located ? Somewhere near the display I suppose.
Any pictures ?
