Pulsar Sport 3502

Post11 Nov 2007, 13:25

Hello all,

My first post here :-D

I've been reading up about Pulars and really like the sport 3502.

Can anyone tell me if these are still available (NOS etc) and a rough idea of pricing?

Or if possible and altenative modern version?

Thanks in advance,

cheers,
Gordon uk

Yes they are available on ebay from Barbie9, normally a Buy-It-Now for $325-345. Good watch and a good seller so I'm told. NOS and as fine an example as anything bought brand new in the late 70's.

Thanks Fitron, He's just put one on auction today.

I also noticed the LEDWatchStop are selling NOS Sport 3502's, has anyone bought one of these from them?

I've corresponded with him a while back, and he seems to be a straight-up person. He's a member here as well. The price of the 3502 seems reasonable if not somewhat cheap for a NOS piece. I was real close to pulling the trigger on it, but decided to hold out for a P2 when just the right deal comes along. For now, I'm liking my CompuChron I bought from eBayer "LED-Land". Ed (the site admin) also has some nice watches for sale (including some CompuChrons) and he's probably one of the best people I've ever talked to for dealing on vintage watches honestly and helpfully. Visit his site www.retroleds.com and maybe even email him to see if there's one that you really like that he doesn't have listed on his site.

Hi Gordon-

Did you get the 3502 from LED Watch Stop yet? I am really on the fence about getting this. Is it confirmed to be authentic?

Hi everlast,

Yep, I received the 3502 a few weeks ago. It definitely appears to be genuine from the research i've done. For some reason it took nearly 3 weeks to get to me but I'm very happy with it and didn't get stung by customs :-D

This thread is a year old, but just curious, what did you all end up paying for your Pulsar Sports? LEDWATCHSTOP.COM has them for 595$...is this a fair price? IF not, What would be a fair price?

And how do you like the watch?

Hi monologuist,

I still have the Sport. I like it a lot. A very accurate and reliable timepiece. I really like the case shape compared to the larger Pulsars, pity it's not just a few mm bigger

I paid about £190 ($295 at the time) from ledwatchshop.com, I haven't visited the site since. That's a heck of a price hike!

I actually contacted the ebay seller, Barbie, and he still had some of these Pulsars left. He is now asking 550$ for it instead of 350$. And the man at planet-led.com wanted 475$ for the exact same one (refurbished case, etc.) Why is everyone trying to rip me off?!

 Damn. I can only assume that the Sports are getting pretty thin on the ground.
